Viktor Konetsky is a favorite writer of several generations of Russian readers. He is the author of a travel novel in eight books “FOR GOOD HOPE”, which includes travel prose “Salt Ice”, “Ice Sprays”, “Among Myths and Reefs”, as well as the stories “Tomorrow’s Concerns”, “The Third Wheel” and much more . Konetsky is the author of the books “Stones Under Water”, “Who Looks at the Clouds”, “Echo”. Konetsky is the co-author of brilliant scripts for cult films, including “Striped Voyage”, “The Path to the Pier”, “Thirty Three” At the end of his life, Konetsky planned to prepare a book based on materials from his archive, but this plan was never realized. This book is an attempt to fulfill the will of the writer. An attempt to create his posthumous “unwritten autobiography.” Most of the book consists of previously unpublished stories, excerpts from Konetsky’s diaries, as well as correspondence and literary notes from different years. The second part of the book is a montage of reviews from writers, critics and readers on the prose and himself “The Konetsky phenomenon.” The appendix publishes for the first time the literary script for the comedy film “Through the Stars to the Thorns.”
