Helminthiases of Dogs Study Guide

The study guide contains material on specialized topics of the “Zoology” course, which will be very useful for the practical activities of officers - dog handlers. In particular, this applies to topics on animal parasites of dogs and humans, and especially on helminths of dogs and humans, which often cause severe diseases (helminthiasis). Moreover, dogs are often the source of infection for humans and other animals. In this regard, this textbook is an additional educational literature when cadets study topics on parasitism and parasitic animals of the Zoology course, and also provides canine cadets with information about the main helminthiasis of dogs, the pathogenesis of helminthiases, routes of infection, as well as treatment and preventive measures. The manual is written in accordance with GOST in the specialty 011600 “Biology”, on the basis of which cadets of the canine faculty are trained at the PVI VV of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. The manual is intended for use by teachers when conducting classes on the relevant topics of the course “ Zoology", for independent study of these topics by canine cadets and for the practical use of the information received in military nurseries.
