A new monograph by Alyssa Dinega Gillespie, an American specialist in Russian literature, professor at Bowdoin College (USA), is devoted to the features of A. S. Pushkin’s “poetic imagination”, which determine the unique nature of his artistic world, which is characterized by ambivalence and at the same time harmony. The ambivalence of the artistic world manifests itself at a variety of structural levels of organization of Pushkin’s works - linguistic, plot, figurative, etc. - determining the ambiguity and multidimensionality of their ethical and aesthetic meaning. The resulting complex organism, the unity of which is supported, among other things, by the roll calls of “double” images and corresponding intertextual connections, reflects the specificity of Pushkin’s “poetic imagination” and the performativity of his work. This book, which incorporates the results of many years of research, is being published in Russian for the first time , in an authorized translation by O. A. Yakimenko. The publishing layout of the book is saved in PDF A4 format.
