Being one of the most prominent personalities among modern philosophers and theologians, Richard Niebuhr is a recognized classic in the field of social sciences and Christian ethics thanks to the book “Christ and Society” (“Christ and Culture”, 1951), which became a textbook. The five types of relationships between followers of Christ and society identified by Richard Niebuhr are considered generally accepted in the widest scientific circles, and they are referred to even when they want to offer something completely different.
