This book is about a family that gave Russia exceptionally much. Its founders are one of the founding fathers of Russian capitalism in the second half of the 18th – early 19th centuries. The Alekseevs, from peasant backgrounds, went all the way to the largest high-tech production. After the revolution, the Alekseev family for the most part continued to serve Russia despite all the difficulties and hardships. Its descendants clearly distinguished themselves as artists, singers, and figures of Russian culture. Konstantin Sergeevich Alekseev-Stanislavsky, the founder of the world-famous theater school, his brothers and sisters are his associates. The book was written by a descendant of the Alekseevs, Stepan Stepanovich Balashov, nephew of K. S. Stanislavsky.
