Anthology “N.F. Fedorov: pro et contra" offers the reader and researcher a systematic collection of philosophical, scientific, memoir, epistolary texts dedicated to the personality and teaching of the outstanding Russian thinker Nikolai Fedorovich Fedorov (1823-1903). The second book of the anthology includes materials related to the reception of the philosophy of immortality and resurrection in the first decades of the 20th century, the most significant articles from the first and second issues of the collection “Ecumenical Cause” (1914, 1934), which became an important stage in understanding Fedorov’s legacy, are being republished. In the sections “Voices from Soviet Russia” and “Philosophy of the Common Cause” N.F. Fedorov in the spiritual quest of the Russian diaspora” contains materials on the history of the perception and development of the thinker’s ideas by philosophers, writers, public and cultural figures of the metropolis and emigration. The section “From the Works of Recent Years” presents some articles by contemporary authors dedicated to the philosophical heritage of Fedorov.
Almost half of the book consists of archival publications, among which the materials of the Fedoroviana Pragensia fund, stored in the Literary Archive of the Museum of National Literature ( Czech Republic).
The book is intended for both specialists and a wide range of readers.
