"Lud-Misty" is a novel-parable about the dangers fraught with the attempt to oust from life everything unknown, mysterious, and not fitting into traditional frameworks. Like a stone wall, the inhabitants of the small state of Dorimar fenced themselves off from the world of magic and illusions with ancient prejudices and invented principles, which they call the Law. They have to go through many trials in order to open their souls, minds and hearts to dreams, fantasy, art... This fundamentally important book for fantasy was published twice in Russian translations, but it seems that it remained almost unnoticed. The Magic Land created by the author is limitless, inexhaustible, chaotic, not subject to any moral law or a single plot.
