Admiral S. Woodward's memoirs are dedicated to the 1982 Anglo-Argentine armed conflict over the Falkland Islands (Malvinas), a conflict that, in terms of the scale of military operations at sea, was one of the largest in the 2nd half of the 20th century.

Modern weapons were used in this war, but the scope for human courage and error remained the same as in Admiral Nelson's time.
