American of Russian origin, Veronica is a talented and charming fraudster. She is a risky and active young lady, but is currently retired and lives quietly in New York with her daughter. Suddenly, a whole bunch of troubles befall Veronica: she undergoes an expensive operation, her daughter gets hit by a car, and the financial crisis “eats up” all her savings. There is no more money.
