Nefedova (Labutina) Nina Vasilievna (1906–1996) - born and raised in the Urals in a family of rural teachers. Having two higher educations (biological and philological), she preferred to study literature. In 1966, the Prosveshchenie publishing house published her book “A Mother’s Diary” (the experience of raising five children in a family). Unfortunately, in subsequent years, the illness of her husband (professor, doctor of agricultural sciences), caring for members of a large family, helping his grandchildren (9 people), and later great-grandchildren (12 people) did not provide the opportunity to systematically devote himself to literary work. An excellent storyteller who was listened to by children and grandchildren, acquaintances and family friends, Nina Vasilievna, at the persistent request of the children, began to write down her memories of her experience. And she experienced a lot during her long, difficult, but happy life. The childhood years are some of the brightest pages of this book.
