The book tells about the investigations of crimes of the second half of the 20th century, which were carried out by criminal investigation inspector Evgeny Kudrin. At the same time, his life path is traced from the moment he arrived at the MUR - from a young lieutenant to a colonel. The book is largely autobiographical, since the author himself is the prototype of Kudrin.

The author - Georgy Viktorovich Kulikov - was born in 1950. Graduated from the Academy of the USSR Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He served in the internal affairs bodies for a quarter of a century. He worked as First Deputy Minister of Justice of the Russian Federation, Head of the Main Legal and Regulatory Directorate of the Union of Belarus and Russia, Deputy Governor of the Kaluga Region. State Counselor of Justice, 1st class, Honored Lawyer of the Russian Federation, has a number of government awards. Over the past ten years, the author has written 15 works, published in various literary publications, and in 2016 he published his first book, “Fallen Leaves Blues.”
