The 2008 edition is dedicated to the history of the formation and development of the country's largest trade union library of the Volga Automobile Plant and its creator and long-term director Irina Alekseevna Krasnova. Possessing a sense of the new, advanced, she always accurately guessed and used progressive trends in the practice of library building in the country. Already in the first 10 years of its existence, under her leadership, the VAZ library became a “millionaire” - it had the 1st category in terms of the volume of its activities, a half-million book fund, an annual book issue of 1 million 300 thousand copies and 75 thousand regular readers. Today it is a municipal cultural institution “Avtograd Library” - an informational, cultural, educational center of the city.
