Thermal regime modeling is of great importance when designing devices. The monograph describes a method of step-by-step modeling of thermal conditions, which has shown its effectiveness in the development of various electronic and optoelectronic devices. Its use makes it possible to identify a limited number of mathematical models covering a variety of instrument systems, to develop computational methods and fairly universal software for them. Analytical and numerical methods for calculating temperature fields using models with lumped parameters, one-dimensional and multidimensional models are described. The features of constructing the corresponding software systems are considered. Methods for calculating temperature fields at various design levels of the REA hierarchy are outlined: microcircuits and microassemblies, cells on printed circuit boards, blocks. Analytical and numerical methods for calculating the thermal conditions of heating thermostats are described. Examples of analysis of the thermal regime of various elements and devices are given.
