At the end of the war, lawyer Gleb Serebryakov was brutally murdered in his Moscow apartment. The apartment was robbed. MUR investigator Efim Berezhnoy is sure that the attackers were looking for something specific: traces of torture remained on the lawyer’s body. The bandits left their “business cards”—two card aces—at the crime scene. Exactly the same marks were left behind by a particularly dangerous gang that robbed and killed people even before the war.
