The popularity of the Strugatskys is inextricably linked with the science fiction genre, in which they turned out to be so talented. The author does not attempt to systematically explore their creative path or evaluate their place in world science fiction, but rather examines the work of writers from the point of view of the history and evolution of mass Russian literature, trying to determine their place in the context of already established literary and cultural traditions.
