Aging, self-absorbed rock star Judah Coyne has a weakness for creepy curiosities. His home collection includes drawings of the notorious serial killer John William Gacy, a 16th-century trepanned skull, a hangman's noose, a chessboard where Aleister Crowley himself played as a child, and so on, and when his secretary informs him of a ghost exhibited by someone... then for sale at an online auction, he immediately places a bid and purchases the item. Indeed, in the black heart-shaped box delivered to Coyne by mail, not only is the black suit of a dead man discovered, but also the spirit of the deceased, thirsty for revenge. As it turns out, the ghost is the deceased adoptive father of one of his young fans, who committed suicide after fifty-four-year-old Coyne callously took advantage of her and threw her out of the door. Set on the goal of destroying Coyne, and at the same time anyone who dared to help him, the inexorable spirit of Craddock McDermott begins an assault on the mind of the old rock musician...
