The Electra Code is the second part of the Swedish trilogy about the adventures of Orestes and Malin, which begins several months after the events of The Orestes Code. Mysticism and adventure surround Orestes and Malin, who live next door. Seventh-graders find a watch box and a letter from the last century, and also discover that some time ago high school student Mesina mysteriously disappeared from their school. Friends are drawn into solving a new mystery, finding more and more clues: codes, pages of an ancient book, amazing ancient gadgets. Orestes’ younger sister, the charming fidget Electra, is also involved in a series of mysterious events. Is the baby part of the mystery or will she help the heroes solve it? The author of these stories, Maria Engstrand, worked as an engineer and lawyer. But then her hobby - writing stories - turned into a new profession. The writer loves her region in southwestern Sweden with its small towns and forests. It is not surprising that the novel takes place in a quiet suburb, where mysticism, science, past and present come together and carry the reader along. And the images of the main characters on the cover, created by artist Polina (Dr. Graf) Noskova, emphasize the mysterious atmosphere of this quest novel, which has gained genuine interest among both schoolchildren and young people.
