The state that, for lack of clarity, was called “post-industrial capitalism” is acquiring clear outlines. This new formation can be called “symbolic capitalism” on the grounds that symbolic exchange becomes the most rewarding. This transformation of capitalism into a new quality most closely resembles the transition from early to developed feudalism. During the period of developed feudalism, the symbolic perception of the world reached its dawn. In the 20th century, along with symbolic signs, information symbols appeared and came into use, the most elementary of which was the bit. The materialization of the symbol is embodied in a quantum bit - a qubit. All this brings symbolism to a new technical level and predetermines the emergence of a formation consonant with symbolic feudalism. The new trend towards the establishment of a global symbolic system predetermines the formation of neo-feudalism. Neo-feudalism is not the feudalism of medieval Europe, but a new world order. The very concept of “neo-feudalism” today acquires a positive and constructive meaning.
