In the end, it exposes the criminals, but we won’t tell you exactly how in advance - otherwise readers won’t absorb this book the way it deserves, that is, avidly. At the end of the book are recipes for Corinna’s signature buns. The same recipes will appear in subsequent novels, because “Earthly Joys” is the first book in a whole series of gluttonous culinary detective stories.
