Сильвестр Безсонов, як головний герой, вражає своєю аналітичною здатністю та харизмою, а його взаємодія з помічницею Майєю додає динаміки та гумору. Вражає, як автор майстерно переплітає різні сюжетні лінії, ведучи читача через загадкові обставини загибелі жертв до розкриття справжніх мотивів злочинців. Окремо варто відзначити атмосферу книги: опис шоколадної фабрики та її таємниць створює справжнє відчуття занурення в світ солодощів, контрастуючи з жорстокістю злочинів.
