Russian readers are already familiar with the works of Yaroslavl prose writer Alexei Serov. In 2001, the collection of short stories “Seven Arrows” was published, and five years later, in 2006, the collection “Men to Their Women” was published. “Depleted Uranium” is the author’s third book. The stories collected in it are different in theme, genre, and in the author’s “I” in the characters of their heroes. But all the stories (and the short story) of the book are united by the main thing: the completeness of the plot, a clear psychological portrait of the main character. The work of Alexei Serov has already been appreciated by readers and critics. Based on the results of 2013, Alexey Serov was awarded the Leonid Leonov Prize, established by the magazine “Our Contemporary”.
