This book is dedicated to my spiritual master Srila Jayapataka Swami Maharaj, who always wanted devotees who are fully dedicated to spiritual life and living in a family to be truly happy.

Why did I get the idea to write a book about grihastha ashram? First of all, because this was the desire of my spiritual master. For a long time I avoided this very important topic, thinking that it was more important to preach renunciation. But over time, I saw that preaching renunciation could easily turn into some kind of show or fashion. Therefore, it is much more important to give people not the idea of renunciation itself, but the path to it. Renunciation is not just a social status, but an ever-growing attachment to Krishna. And this is a science that should take place in every family. Very often people come to Krishna consciousness already having mental traumas and ugly experiences of unfulfilled or confused family relationships, which instills in them fear of the grihastha ashram. Observing the experience of failure, many are afraid to start their own families, others are embarrassed, and still others don’t care. Therefore, I am convinced that we need a science that will spiritualize and create great families in the future. In the hope of bringing at least a little benefit to sincere souls, I am trying to share my thoughts, beliefs and my implementation on this difficult topic. Is it possible in our difficult times to build family life on spiritual foundations? Yes, that is precisely why our times are difficult, because no one in the world does not build family life on a spiritual basis. For us devotees, it is also difficult because society does not support our way of life, and because we ourselves have retained bad habits and character, instilled in the culture in which we grew up. It takes time and patience until the fire of Krishna consciousness “digests” our sins and cleanses the heart. Since we have chosen this path, let us stick to it until the end.
