An ancient abbey in medieval England is not like all the others. Here the girls are taught the arts of chivalry and prepared to serve England.

The queen gives one of the sisters of the abbey, Lady Isabella de Montfort, an assignment to go to Lincoln and take out a box with important documents from the cathedral. The abbess's nephew, Jordan le Courtenay, is called upon to help her with this.
