Eliza “Izzie” Forrester recently moved to a new city and, having decided to look into a local bar, does not at all expect to meet a nice, reliable guy there. And she definitely wasn't ready to have her very first fling with him. The next morning, Izzy wakes up in Johnny Gamble's bed, and good girl Izzy discovers that she enjoys being bad for Johnny. And yet, Izzie feels like Johnny is keeping her at a distance. But Johnny makes it clear that he wants more, and Izzy already knows that he really wants Johnny Gamble, and not only because he is hot in bed, but also sweet outside of it. Overjoyed, Izzy thinks this will lead them somewhere, but quickly realizes why Johnny is acting distant. He is in love with someone else. The girl who left him, leaving him broken. No matter who Johnny starts his next relationship with, she will always remain on the sidelines. Knowing what's at stake, Izzy will take whatever he can get from the gentleman that is Johnny Gamble. And even though he knows his heart may never heal, Johnny can't stay away from Izzy. Until his lost love returns to the city out of nowhere. Johnny doesn't want to go back to the past, but he still knows it's right to let Izzy go. And Izzy, understanding what is at stake, allows him to do this without objection. But their separation lasts only until Johnny finds out that Eliza moved to the city to escape the danger that hovered around her. And then Johnny decides to intervene. The threat to Eliza Forrester and the fact that she cooks breakfast with a singing canary on her shoulder and wears tight dresses does not allow Johnny Gamble to get the girl out of his head.
