For a long time I couldn’t figure out why this place was called “drunk”. Who sang it? No one knew and could not tell me until I met an old, old landowner who told me that she knew well the legend about the Svyatoleskaya Drinking Church; that she even kept a story about him - a family manuscript of almost her great-grandfather. She showed this manuscript to me, and while rewriting it, I only tried to update its style a little, keeping as close as possible to the original story.
