“Indo-European Religiosity” is the work of the famous German anthropologist Hans F. K. Günther (1891-1968). In the latest author's edition of 1963, it is published in Russian for the first time. In this work, Hans F. K. Gunter tries to identify the original religiosity of the Indo-Europeans through a comparative analysis of the manifestation of religious feelings among the Indo-European peoples.
Indo-European religiosity is considered by the author as fundamentally Nordic - characteristic of the Nordic subrace of the Caucasoid (“white”) race. In his discussion of Indo-European religiosity, Hans F.K. Gunter touches on such issues as the Indo-European concept of fate and the universal world order, the relationship between man and the gods, the attitude towards nature in a religious aspect, the idea of freedom as an expression of the inner essence of the Indo-European.
