Vika, a modest English teacher, got a good part-time job as a translator for a tour group in Italy. The tour of Pompeii went on as usual until it was interrupted... by shots - an Italian tourist, who turned out to be an employee of the Venetian municipality, killed his young wife and shot himself! Having recovered from the shock, Vika’s group began to gather for their homeland. The wife of the Russian vice-consul, Marianna, turned to the translator with a request to give her brother, Valentin Korsky, a disk and a letter. The girl tried to carry out the assignment and found out that a similar story had happened to Korsky: this high-ranking official killed his mistress and committed suicide. It seems that someone else’s secret has fallen into Vika’s hands. What to do now with the dangerous parcel?
