The novel continues the theme of the vitality of the creations of humanity. In the first part, bopper robots went too far in their expansion; cunning people found a way to destroy them. But not to the end, otherwise there would be no second and subsequent parts. The boppers managed to reach a new stage in technology development and created their sequel: “moldies” - advanced artificial life forms created from soft plastic and genetically modified seaweed and mold, into which they transferred their software. In the third part, Rucker introduced a third character - alien intelligence. Moldy went so far in their research that they found a way to place the mind of alien creatures, once released from the living shell, freely wandering around the universe, into the body of the moldy. For which they paid, because these entities, firstly, for the most part turned out to be much more advanced than the moldies, and secondly, they did not care about the goals of the moldies, they have their own reasons...
