This publication tells about the life of the Englishman Charles Sidney Gibbs (1876–1963), an English teacher to the children of Emperor Nicholas II and mentor to Tsarevich Alexei. During ten years of service at the court of the Russian Emperor, Gibbs became a confidant of the family of Nicholas II. Subsequently, he became an Orthodox priest and lived in Great Britain. The publication included two books about Charles Gibbs, written by English authors John Trewin and Francis Welch and his diaries.
