Professor Stephen Warnington leads a measured life. He teaches on Tuesdays and Fridays. Dinners with parents on weekends. Goes to the gym with his hilariously stupid stepbrother Matt several times a week. And every night he returns home at a reasonable time alone. But there is one hitch in his perfectly organized life: Miss Julia Wilde. Stephen had never encountered a more unruly student. She is rude, provocative, infuriating, and dresses completely inappropriately for a lady. Stephen can't wait until the end of the semester to never see her again. More precisely, it was so, before he ended up not in the audience, but in Julia’s apartment. Suddenly, the student/teacher roles are reversed and the teacher gets a much-needed lesson. Stephen thought his life had meaning, but after his date with Julia, he realizes that he has changed in many ways. It seems that he is sick with something. Or, perhaps, something that was a little different from what he was used to was necessary for the professor in reality in order not to suffocate.
