1930. Polish city of Lublin. A few days before the national holiday - Independence Day - the editor of an ultra-right newspaper was brutally murdered. And this is only the first of a series of murders that shook the city... Since time immemorial, Lublin has been famous for its tribunal and... criminals. In the 17th century, the noble robber Ludwik Poniatowski, known throughout the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, owned real estate here, however, he was married to the widow of an even more famous gangster with a saber on his belt, Stanislav “The Devil” Stadnicki. It is also one of the few cities, besides Krakow, Lviv, Poznan and Żywiec, in which the “Books of Malefactors” have been preserved, confirming the criminal past of the city dating back to the 16th century.
