The merman offered the boy his newest and most expensive treasures, if only he wanted to stay close to the owner of the deep-sea kingdom, exhausted from loneliness. However, instead of rejoicing at the treasures, the boy yearned for his loved ones, saying that close people are more valuable than Cartier jewelry and Apple gadgets that Vodyanoy tried to bestow on him. The Vodyanoy could not come to terms with the fact that there are treasures in the world that are more valuable than his. He let the boy go to land, and he himself decided to go in search of those treasures that, as it turned out, he still had not been able to find. Vodyanoy visited the cat that walks around in a chain, and Baba Yaga, and the goldfish itself helped him in his search. Our hero wandered around the world for a long time and still managed to find a treasure a hundred times more expensive than he had.
