London. 50s of the last century. At the center of the story is the Ryan family, Irish emigrants. Beggars and destitute, having sunk to the very bottom of life, seven brothers, one after another, following the eldest Michael, go into the criminal business and turn into millionaires. Their only sister, Moira, having survived a love drama and having lost a child, at the age of seventeen joins the brothers, and now she is the “queen” of the Ryan business, a dangerous lady, a menace in the underworld.
