The process of the formation of Italian poetry and at the same time the Italian poetic language passed through different stages, but the most intense and dynamic was, undoubtedly, its beginning, the period when the most promising ones were selected from the many possibilities for development, which allowed this poetry to turn from imitative into a model for imitation. The analysis of this important period, almost unknown to the Russian reader, forms the content of this book, the main task of which is to identify the patterns that determined the evolution of early Italian lyric poetry in its unity and continuity.
