It is clear to whose mill they are grist. But the false historians and agents of influence have miscalculated. There are still living witnesses to this super attack, which was included in the textbooks of the submarine fleet. So, here is the whole truth about Lunin, his crew and the “Attack of the Century” from the commander of the warhead-5 guard boat “K-21” of the Northern Fleet of the Soviet Union, Konstantin Mikhailovich Sergeev.” This publication is also interesting because it appeared already at the end of the 90s. x years XX century in conditions when the author was free from any external censorship, which critics of the Soviet period like to mention, arguing that the materials published at that time cannot be considered reliable. However, a comparison of the materials presented in this book with the memoirs of other submariners, for example, I. A. Kolyshkin ( or L. A. Vlasov ( .rus.ec/b/59577), published during the period of socialism, shows the absence of any serious discrepancies in the description of events and assessments that would give grounds to talk about a fundamental distortion of information in Soviet-era publications due to censorship restrictions and " dominance of ideology." Memoirs are always characterized by a certain subjectivism, which is both their advantage and disadvantage as a historical source, so one can welcome K. M. Sergeev’s desire to rely not only on his own memories, but also on documentary materials.
