A new work by well-known authors of a series of books on the history of world weapons of the 30s–80s of the twentieth century is devoted to the development of aircraft with jet engines, carried out in the period from 1939 to 1945. Airplanes with rocket, ramjet, air-breathing and pulsating engines are described. The development of aircraft designs with compressor-type air-breathing engines, etc. is shown. The design features of jet vehicles and a brief history of their creation are outlined. The content is illustrated with detailed diagrams and photographs.
