The Leopold Museum was created on the basis of a private art collection. The largest collection of paintings by Egon Schiele is stored here, perfectly revealing the work of this great artist and one of the most prominent graphic artists of Austrian expressionism. The museum presents famous works by the outstanding painter Gustav Klimt, as well as works by Oskar Kokoschka, Anton Kolig, Alfred Kubin, Kolo Moser, Ferdinand Georg Waldmüller, Joseph Hoffmann, Richard Gerstl and many other masters.
