The novel “Silver Inna” (in the original “Hohai”, this is the name of the area in northern Sweden) is one of the most striking Scandinavian books of recent years, nominated for the main literary award in Sweden - named after August Strindberg. In Germany, the popular film “Snow Country” with Julia Jentsch in the title role was made based on it. This is the story of two women from different eras; Both of them experienced the loss of a loved one, both of them lost the desire to live. Quite by chance, past and present meet in the snowy expanses of Northern Sweden, where people are driven mad by darkness and loneliness, to reconcile the dead and give hope to the living.
