At the skating rink in Central Park in New York, an unknown sniper kills a figure skater, a doctor and a teacher. Police Lieutenant Eva Dallas takes on the investigation. An experienced investigator, Eva has seen many murders, but this is the first time she has encountered such a complicated case. The victims were shot with a tactical laser rifle, which means the sniper was several kilometers away from the firing zone. The list of places where the killer could be hiding seems endless.
