Yesterday, residents of peaceful Belgrade drank coffee, discussed football matches and chatted with neighbors in line at supermarkets. Today they are ready to kill each other: some for the idea, and some for profit. Divided by a river, the city is suddenly engulfed in a military coup. While a brutal dictatorship is established on one coast, marauders and armed gangs are rampant on the other. Five strangers band together to survive the jaws of civil war and make their way to what is rumored to be a safe corridor. A former war journalist, a disgraced skinhead, a professional kept woman, a tango teacher and an elderly woman with dementia have nothing in common. And yet they are forced to fight with the city for life and with each other for leadership. But it turns out to be even more difficult to fight the ghosts of your past.
