In the “Documentary Prose” section - chapters from the book of the French journalist Xavier de Hautecloque (1897–1935) “Brown Tragedy” translated by Elena Baevskaya and Natalya Mavlevich. In the introduction to the publication, N. Mavlevich says that the book was “written under the impression of a trip to Germany immediately after Hitler came to power.” In 1935, the author died, poisoned by Gestapo agents. “This Germany in uniform loves its madness, organizes it, derives enormous benefits from it... it’s time to realize all the abomination and all the danger of this psychosis...”
