In 1993, after Orlova’s death, her book “Memories of Non-Past Time” was published, in which she, with irresistible ruthlessness towards herself, spoke about the vicissitudes of life of her generation. Raisa Orlova wrote this book for twenty years. She again and again went through everything that happened in her lifetime, tried to answer herself and the readers how it happened that in her young and mature years she believed in lies and was an involuntary accomplice of this lie and evil, whether she fully atone for what she considered herself guilty of. Perhaps the special value of the book is that the author did not find a final answer.
