Viktor Dmitrievich Kolupaev (1936–1999) is a truly amazing author. His creative path is amazing: just a year after his first publication, he becomes a professional writer - a phenomenon extraordinary for Soviet literature in general, and even more so for science fiction. His work is amazing - the vast majority of Kolupaev’s works are “strange urban prose” or lyrical fantasy. The genres, to put it mildly, are atypical for Soviet science fiction literature. At the famous Moscow seminar in 1976, Arkady Natanovich Strugatsky said that Viktor Kolupaev writes more interestingly than Ray Bradbury. For many then it sounded unexpected, but Arkady Natanovich never refused what was said. And Victor joined the Writers' Union on his recommendation... The legacy of a writer, as is always the case with real things, cannot be assessed unambiguously. Someone will admire the author’s polished style, someone will like the exciting plot, someone will be overwhelmed by lyrical sadness... Only one thing can be guaranteed - the absence of disappointment. Find your text in this book. Contents: “The Thunderer” (cycle) Timelessness. Time.
