The publication summarizes the experience of forensic psychiatric examination of persons who have committed sexual crimes. New for the domestic reader is an approach that considers the pathology of sexual desire from a psychodynamic point of view, taking into account not only the features of early interaction with the family environment, but also the role of other aspects of the individual’s socialization. The author shows the appropriateness of using psychoanalytic methodology in forensic psychiatric examination, giving an example of an expert opinion of a subject accused of pedophilia.
