"Literary Guide": "A Wanderer in Her Own...", dedicated to the Argentine poet Alejandra Pisarnik (1936–1972). “Torture as a way of existence and a way of writing,” is how philologist Boris Dubin characterizes the way of life and work of Alejandra Pisarnik in the note “Approaching the Elusive Shadow.” A selection of poems by A. Pisarnik was translated from Spanish by Pavel Grushko, and the introduction to the poems was translated by him. Section “From Notebooks” translated by Natalia Vanhanen.

Alejandra Pizarnik (1936–1972, Alejandra Pizarnik real name Flora Pozharnik), whose work is presented in the Literary Guide section - Argentine poet, prose writer, translator. Daughter of Jewish immigrants from Eastern Europe - 1960-1964. she lived in Paris and studied at the Sorbonne. Pisarnik, winner of the Buenos Aires Literary Prize for poetry, was the author of a number of poetry collections and books of poetic prose. And one more detail characterizing the extraordinary poetess: Alexandra Pisarnik, when she studied at the University of Buenos Aires, at the Faculty of Philosophy and Journalism, combined her studies with classes from the famous artist Juan Batle Planas. Subsequently, she decorated her poems with such amazing drawings - strange torture instruments play riddles with the reader, inviting the reader into the sweet torment of poetry and creativity...
