Forty floors, a thousand apartments, two thousand residents - this is a high-rise building, one of five planned in a new residential complex in London. Complete self-sufficiency, including a shopping center, a hair salon, two swimming pools, a gym and a primary school for children - undoubtedly this is a model of the future, a new social structure, a brave new world... But something is just beginning to go wrong - with electricity, with elevators , with a garbage chute... Who is to blame? Others are to blame - those above, those below. What to do? Don't give up! And so the residents, wealthy, accomplished professionals, contrary to all expectations, contrary to common sense, are drawn into squabbles - into skirmishes - into war. A war limited to the confines of one house - no one in the outside world has any idea what is happening within the walls of the high-rise... What happened - a new world or an old rake?
