In terms of the abundance of textures and names, this work even surpasses the acclaimed book by the English historian Christopher Andrew and former Soviet foreign intelligence colonel Oleg Gordievsky, “KGB: Intelligence Operations from Lenin to Gorbachev.” According to David Dallin, he was able to talk about the work of the Soviet intelligence services abroad as objectively and accurately as possible under existing conditions. Some of the events described by the author are truly unique, since they have never been made public before.
