Tito's forest kingdom is in panic: unknown people are kidnapping barely hatched chicks from their nests. The owl Soren becomes a victim of the villains, who ends up in Sant'Egolius, a shelter with harsh rules for orphaned owlets. Soren understands that the only way to escape from this educational hell is to learn to fly. Together with little Gylfi, they escape from the orphanage and decide to find the legendary Great Tree of Ga'Hoole, where noble and brave owls live, so that together they can fight the forces of evil. Along the way, they meet Dusk and Kopusha, from now on their faithful friends. But even on the island of the Great Tree, the four owlets face great challenges. Under the guidance of their wise mentor Ezylryb, they have much to learn before becoming the Night Guards of Ga'Hoole.
