On May 9, 2010, at the 47th year of his life, Vladyka Zosima, Bishop of Yakutsk and Lensky (in the world - Igor Vasilyevich Davydov), reposed in the Lord. Vladyka lived a short, but bright life filled with daily spiritual feats. His path in the Church was clear and direct: churching in his youth, seminary, monasticism in the brethren of the Trinity-Sergius Lavra and the St. Daniel Monastery, priesthood, and then bishopric in one of the most remote and untapped departments. But wherever he served - in hot Jericho or cold Yakutsk - everywhere his main, only concern was the glory of God and the well-being of the Church of Christ. “Looking at the blessed death of Bishop Zosima,” says Metropolitan Clement of Kaluga and Borovsk, “people will strive, the word of the apostle, “to imitate his faith” (Heb. 13:7). He walked his short way of the cross courageously, humbly and uncomplainingly, becoming for many an example of faith and piety.” A new book from the publishing house “Danilovsky Blagovestnik”, compiled from the memoirs of people who knew Vladyka Zosima, tells about the life of this remarkable man.
