Alexander Arturovich Rowe (1906–1973) is a Soviet film director, author of about 20 films, most of which are fairy tales. The greatest success of them came from the literary fairy tale “The Kingdom of Crooked Mirrors” and the film ballet “The Crystal Slipper”. The publishing house is releasing a book by film critic Sergei Kapkov “Visiting the Fairy Tale of Alexander Row”, dedicated to the work of the director-storyteller. Kapkov tells entertaining stories about the creation of the films “Vasilisa the Beautiful”, “Morozko”, “Varvara the Beauty”, “The Kingdom of Crooked Mirrors” and about the luminaries of Soviet cinema who played in them - Georgy Miller, Sergei Stolyarov, Maria Babanova, about meetings with the fairy tale of outstanding comedians Mikhail Pugovkin, Rina Zelenaya, Tamara Nosova.
